What goes up must come down and this is true in lifts. In my considered opinion, being stuck in an elevator could give rise to fornication. Fornication is such an old-fashioned word that most young people would think it was something to do with cake decoration. In the UK we simply have a shag. It’s quicker than fornicating and easier to spell, which leaves time to do it more than once.

Two Witnesses stuck in a elevator or car without Chaperon. Would they fornicate? Yes/No
by Witness 007 inim amazed how going witnessing sisters who knew me for decades would sit only in the back seat on the way to the hall...to avoid any sex at the traffic lights!!!
and chaperons 1840's style are needed because two witnesses alone for 10 minutes would go at it like animals even after all the training watchtower articles and talks being jahs clean org.
and all..

Rumor of new light on the headquarters of the WT
by wolfman85 ini read in a forum in spanish that there is a strong rumor spreading in the corridors of the wt.
has anyone heard anything about this??
the change that is emerging is this: the great crowd has not yet appeared, and it is a group that comes out of the great tribulation.

THE GLADIATOR
I know how all this is going to end. Jehovah's Witnesses suddenly awake in their kingdom hall seats to find themselves holding white kittens, whom they deduce to have been anointed members all along, with the black kittens having been the governing body. The story ends with members recalling the speculation of the Tweedle brothers, that everything may have, in fact, been a dream of the faithful and discreet slave class and that the great crowd might be no more than a figment of their imagination.

Why should this annoy me?
by punkofnice inlong story short.
i left the wbt$ and was forcibly da'd for attending a church.. wifey says she 'chooses' not to talk to me about 'spiritual'(tm) matters.
i told wifey that she didn't 'choose' but was told not to talk to me about such matters by some men in brooklyn.

Wifey says: 'I only married you because you was a JW!'
punkofnice We all need something to get annoyed about but that would annoy any husband. My wife’s parents blame me for her leaving the Borg. It gives me a warm glow to receive recognition for my valiant efforts.
Hope the recognition you are receiving from the elders does the same for you. At the end of the day they are just a pack of cards caught up in a dream called wonderland.

I found this paragraph in the Watchtower study to be so ridiculous and offensive......
by Pyramid Scheme inusually i read through the study article for the week to see if there are good points of discussion with my family.. when i read this paragraph, i nearly fell off my chair.
this is complete and utter garbage.
i have had discussions with my wife and other family members who also agreed it was complete rubbish.

Why do they need inspiration or holy-spirit, when the faithful and indiscreet slave has provided the Elders manual?

I dont beleive in the christian veiw of God , are their alternatives ? Other than Judaism , Islam ,or other popular Gods in the world today ?
by smiddy inwhile i discard the notion of god as described in the bible ,and which would also include the islamic and judean religions as they have similar roots ,i do concede their are things i do not know , that occur, which i cant explain , whether they be attributed to the paranormal ,ufo`s ,ghosts ,phsysic phenomena ,poltergeists ,or whatever .it is well attested their are occurences which defy explanation .. we know as human beings we are born and we die in the flesh .. what if their was some truth in the scripture" you will be all changed in a twinkling of an eye" going from a fleshly creature to a spiritual creature ?
i find their are part truths, half truths ,truths of ommission , old truths ,new truths , and truths that are yet to be revealed .with the wtb&ts.
so is their a possibility of our continuing on in a spiritual existence ?

smiddy At the last count there were a few thousand gods, though some of them may have died by now.
Or you could invent one of your own that is exactly what you want him, her, or it to be. That would be my preference.

Which prayer will Jehovah answer?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inin matthew 7:7 jesus says:.
ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
for every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

There is only one way to find out. Ask for several things and see what happens.
The Hebrew desert god may not be your best bet, the 'smart money' is on Christ.
Personally I appeal to Caesar if I need something I can’t get on Amazon.

tec " What you said here is almost totally true. Change the bolded part to if you ask in faith, and you are right on ;)"
My words were carefully chosen tec. Anyone can ask nicely if they want something enough, but faith is not the possession of all people.
I agree that truth is not negotiable in the real world. Despite this, we each have an inner world that is personal to us and provides our motivation. Anything is possible in that subjective world and becomes ‘our’ truth. Even so I concede it is a misuse of the word ‘truth.’

smiddy There are Christians that say he is still talking to them and will talk to you if you ask nicely. In the end we have to accept that each person has to find their own truth. Sharing that truth without objective proof becomes difficult. That is why it can only be offered and not given.

What are your reasons for posting here?
by sonnyboy ini'm curious as to what drives some people to post at certain boards.. for me, i first came here over a year ago thinking this was a pro-jw site, ready to jump on the dubs.
lol.
little did i know.... i posted here exclusively for a while, but then found that the repetitive topics became tedious.

THE GLADIATOR
The title of this thread is a question everyone posting here should regularly ask themselves. Most people are the last to know what motivates them. I came here originally in my own name about 12 years ago. I was searching for something to replace the faith I once had as a Jehovah's Witness. All these years later I have not found a set of beliefs that that I am able to put faith in. I guess that in many ways I have forgotten what I came here for, which amounts to a successful rehabilitation. I live not by faith but by a philosophy and have found the peace I sought.
Prolific posters always have an agenda that drives them to want to influence others in some way. Someone recently stated that if we still post here, then we have not moved on. There is some truth in that. At the same time it is an entertaining and sociable forum to be a part of. Robust debate is allowed and there is always something new we can learn or encouragement we can gain by knowing that we are not alone in our quest to make sense of our human condition.
